By Old account - Jekyll Island Authority (other events)

248 Dates Through May 31, 2024

ABOUT ABOUT

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is now operating under timed-entry admission. Visitors are highly encouraged to purchase admission online in advance of arrival to guarantee admission on the date and time of interest. Children 3 and under are free and are not required to purchase admission. Admission is the same price regardless of arrival time.

Advance online admission purchase guarantees your admission. By purchasing your tickets online you will receive a $1 discount on the general admission price. Admission is non-transferable and non-refundable. Admission is only valid for the date and time specified.

A digital confirmation of your timed-entry admission will be emailed with your purchase confirmation. Please bring your printed or digital confirmation email with you for check-in during your SELECTED time frame. Your confirmation will be scanned at the admission booth or tent before entering the building. To ensure a comfortable guest experience, early arrivals will not be granted entry. Visitors will be provided a 30-minute grace period to enter the building beyond the selected time frame listed in the confirmation email. The last admission entry time available is at 4 p.m., one hour prior to closing.

Admission grants access to all gallery areas which include the turtle rehabilitation pavilion and the interactive learning center. Admission helps support life-saving care, research, and recovery of endangered sea turtles.

Specialty tours and activities are not included with a general admission purchase.

Are you a tax-exempt group?

Tax-exempt groups must email [email protected] at least 2 weeks prior to the date of visit to secure admission with tax-exempt forms. Please be certain to provide the following when emailing in order to ensure your forms are reviewed prior to your admission date request: The State of Georgia Letter of Exemption or ST-5/003, the primary point of contact for the group, and the number of tickets needed. Tax-exempt forms for group admission will not be accepted for online purchases or same-day walk-up admission. Dates and times of request are subject to admission availability.

Food & Drink Policy:

No food or beverages are permitted in the Center, with the exception of water. The Center has a water bottle filling station in the gift shop, and we encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle for your visit. Picnic benches are available for use within walking distance from the Center.

Strollers:

Strollers are allowed throughout the Center. For the most enjoyable experience for all visitors, we encourage leaving your stroller at home if possible. This helps ease guest flow and reduce congestion. If a stroller is required, please be mindful of stroller size. The use of large strollers is discouraged. We do not have strollers for rent or stroller valet services at this time.

Wheelchairs:

All areas included in the general admission experience are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair rental services are not available at the Center at this time.

Photography & Videography:

Cameras are permitted in the Center for personal use ONLY. The use of flash is prohibited in all areas. As a State Park, commercial or professional photos and video are prohibited unless prior authorization has been received by the Jekyll Island Authority. Professional-grade equipment including but not limited to tripods, monopods, lighting, flashes, microphones, and detachable lenses, are prohibited.

Re-Entry:

General Admission guests may only exit and reenter the Georgia Sea Turtle Center during their timed ticket window. Please inform a staff member at the retail counter in the gift shop if you need to leave momentarily. To reenter, please return to the gift shop and show your hand stamp or proof of purchase at the retail counter.
