Guests will travel back to Jekyll’s Gilded Age on our iconic trolley and experience the history of the Jekyll Island Club era from one of our engaging interpreters. Upon entering one of the club member’s “cottages,” guests will be introduced to one of the fascinating personalities of the period in the form of one or more of our costumed living history characters. Guests will hear tales from the character's by-gone era.

August: Ernest Grob (Club Superintendent) & Kate Brown (Macy Family Governess) engage in a very lively and spirited exchange about Club happenings over tea.
September: JP Morgan Jr (Millionaire Son of JP Morgan)-recounts tales of his childhood, his demanding father, JP Sr., and his beautiful wife, Jane.
This activity lasts from 75-90 minutes, requires standing and walking for about 15-20 minutes and may involve some stairs. Seating on open-air trolley is general admission. Groups wishing to sit together should arrive early. Service animals welcome. Tour may be delayed or cancelled in the event of dangerous weather. Refunds are only considered on canellations prior to the event.
