In honor of Native American Heritage Month in November 2021, learn about the lives and impacts of the first people to live on Jekyll Island through this interactive program.
Who were Jekyll Island's earliest residents? What can the things they left behind tell us about the lives they led here? Join Mosaic to learn about the Timucua tribe and what their lives were like on Jekyll Island. You'll make Timucua-style pottery, try "black drink," and learn to hunt with an atlatl.
This program is approximately an hour long and takes place both indoors and outdoors. Please meet in the Tack Room of Mosaic, Jekyll Island Museum.
