Come celebrate Black History Month on Jekyll Island at "De Artistry of Gullah/Geechee." This interactive Gullah/Geechee cultural event will include a histo-musical presentation by Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation, Gullah/Geechee traditional handmade quilts by Gullah/Geechee traditions keeper, Carolee Holmes Brown, and paintings by Gullah/Geechee artist, Quadré Stuckey. They will each share on the cultural inspiration of their artistry and Queen Quet will do a book and CD signing of her many Gullah/Geechee publications including her brand new novels. "Cum fa yeddi who webe and see disya artistree!"
Event will be held at the Jekyll Island Convention Center, in Ballroom H unless otherwise noted.
