Explore the beach at night and learn about the amazing journey of loggerhead sea turtles nesting along the Georgia coast. Meet your Turtle Walk guides in the GSTC parking lot (follow the white turtles to the parking area to the right of the brick building entrance) for check-in. Following the guides, participants will caravan to the beach access location in their personal transportation. The walk will last approximately 1.5-2 hours and is dependent on sea turtle activity. Along the way, guides will lead a variety of activities while we wait for potential nesters.
Evening Turtle Walks are conducted in June and July. Reservations are required as group size is limited by Georgia Department of Natrual Resources permitting restrictions (15 guests maximum) and programs fill quickly. Participants must be 6 years old or older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Purchase includes free general admission to the GSTC for each ticket holder. General admission can be used the day before, the day of, or the day after your scheduled walk.
